The time for an overhaul of the entertainment system has come, I've done some research and it's gotten me thus far:
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77, Socket-1155
Intel® Core i7-3770K Processor
Corsair Dominator DDR3 1866MHz 16GB (9-10-9)
Corsair TX V2 750W PSU
Samsung SSD 830 Series 256GB 2.5" OEM
Western Digital® Desktop Black 2TB
Corsair H100 Hydro Series CPU Cooler
I'm still undecided on which GPU to use, I prefer AMD, is there any reason not to pick the HD7970 for enthusiast gaming? As for power supply i have little knowledge with the different brands, any recommendations would be warmly welcomed, with emphasis on noise.
This will be my first rig built for over clocking. Hence my choice of motherboard with TUF tech to support temperature control and the H100 cooler. I am however lacking a decent case, and was hoping you guys could share you experiences. I'm looking for a midi case that supports my H100 cooler.
I've found that many of the stock fans following the cases are either noisy or plain bad, any particular brands produce quality fans to swap out with the stock ones?
