This problem is primarily about Battlefield 2... but I have been having small glitches in some of the other games I play.. Titan Quest, Oblivion. If its hardware, no problem I should be able to fix the problem... if its software, I guess I can stop banging my head on my desk trying to figure out what the problem is.
Ok, after each patch my computer has done worse and worse.... Me, I think its the change in the code.... but
I was checking my voltages out, and during the few minutes I was checking them out, the 12.0v dropped to 11.80v.
Is this drop significant enough to cause problems with
BF2 1.2 Small freeze up (5-10 seconds) sound stuttering for 1 - 2 seconds, then plays again for awhile until it decides to act up. (Time frame on this is totally random, could happen 30 seconds into play, or it could take as long as 2 hours.) ( about 60 % of the time there is some form of graphics corruption after the game unfreezes.)
BF2 1.3 Same symptoms as above, but it disconnects me from the server 1 or 2 times then continues on with the above listed problems.
BF2 1.4 Complete system lock up, have to power down and power back up to get computer going again.

The following post was my original post, I'm including it just in case it might raise any red flags.
First off.... Sporadic = (Day 1), 3 or 4 complete games no problem.... then kaboom (Day 2), 5 minutes into first game KABOOM.
Battlefield 2 v1.22 Game would sporadically freeze up for 10-15 seconds, give a sound byte stutter, then continue working again (every once in a while I would get some corrupted graphics)... no disconnects.
Battlefield 2 v1.3 Game would sporadically freeze up for 10-15 seconds, give a quick sound byte, then disconnect me from the server. I could rejoin the server right away with no problem, and continue play.
Battlefield 2 v1.3 & AF booster... Game would sporadically freeze up for 10-15 seconds, give a quick sound byte, then disconnect me from the server. When attempting to rejoin server it would shut down bf2 and kick me back to desk top.
Battlefield 2 v1.4 Beta... Same as 1.3/AF above. Hasn't changed anything for me.
Specs:
AMD 64+ 4000 @ 2.4 ghz (single core)
2 G RAM
Nvidia EVGA 7800 GT @ 256 mg Ram
Audigy 2 ZS
windows xp pro. sp2
PSU = Xion 600w
Now the freezing up is not just isolated to bf2, I am also experiencing this in Oblivion, and Titan Quest... just no disconnects (Titan Quest only, Oblivion isn't an online game), or crash to desktops.
Everything on my system is up to date with the exception of windows I stopped at sp2. (Even Punkbuster has been updated manually). I have deleted the game cache, uninstalled/reinstalled. I pass the system requirements test for BF2 with flying colors.
I have read quite a bit on the boards and have seen where a couple of others have had similiar problems, but never any solutions.... so I thought I'd give it a try.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't know what else to do, if you need more computer info, just let me know.
==============================================
I am using the latest drivers on all of my hardware.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled... again and again, still same problems.
I have run memtest86+, and it didn't find any problems, so I am really starting to run out of options now.
Any advice, info, anything really would be nice.
Thanks,
Sean
