Gaming performance problem

Hello,

First of all, my rig setup is this:
I7-870
Asus P7P55D-E Pro
4Gigs 1600mhz Ram
2x 6950 Crossfire
OCZ ModXStream 650Watt

I've been playing world of warcraft eyefinity for some time now, running smoothly enough in 10man raiding, however recently began 25man raiding, where i experienced severe FPS drops. I started lowered my settings, but even almost all way down it didn't give much higher FPS, so i began playing world of warcraft single monitor again, however even when running medium settings in 25 man raids it runs really choppy.

I've also been playing other games lately, where performance has dissapointed me, deus ex, crysis, battlefield 3 and games like that, i've tried running these in eyefinity (5760x1080), however i can't seem to get satisfying results unless i run lowest settings, and even then its not so smooth.

I am running the newest drivers, temperatures are fine, so thats sorted out. Is there a chance that perhaps my PSU isn't up for the task and doesn't provide enough juice for the GPU's to give their fullest, or would that result in system crashes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Make sure you are running in full screen mode. Try disabling all mods and see of performance improves?

Wait for the next 3 generations of CPUs anf GPUs and you should be able to run WoW, know what I'm sayin'?

Is the CPU really the bottleneck when it rarely goes above 50% work load on 2 cores?

And is it normal that using crossfired 6950, that i can't play with above than lowest settings in eyefinity?

Is it possible that you're RAM bottleneck?

From other threads:
My 4gb ram was the bottleneck keeping me from playing Ultra before. Upgraded to 8 gb and I run all Ultra, no MSAA, 1900x1200 perfectly 50-60 fps (vsync capped).

Thanks, you were right. My 4GB was definitely holding me back. I picked up another 4GB today at Fry's and haven't had any huge sudden drops in fps. Plus new rounds/maps load up infinitely quicker as well. It seems like this games needs more than 4GB to run with everything turned up.

Possible that in Eyefinity, GPU's VRAM is an issue? Do you have 1GB or 2GB 6950's?

My GTX580 3Gbs use 2Gb VRAM all the time. If I turn MSAA on, it jumps to 2.5Gb. This is at 4800x900.

Could be, last time i monitered ram usage it didn't max out though. However could be that the system is saving a certain percentage?

I have the 6950 2Gb's, considering unlocking them but afraid my PSU can't handle it.

It can be because the clock speed is too low.
