1 day i was playin HL2 and every few seconds i got like 1 fps, i got out and hit ctrl+alt+del and my CPU usage goes up to about 20% every 5 seconds. i restart my computer and its still happening, i go to check which process is doing this and its a process called system that shoots up every couple of seconds. what could be cousing this? could it be a virus or something?
 
Yes, it's quite possible that your PC is infected. Look at the sticky spyware/adware/virus thread at the top of the Software forum.
