Is gaming on wireless in FPS intensive games a bad idea? Will I notice a performance increase by gaming on wired mouse/keyboard... Can you make some recommendations for a sub-$50 keyboard/mouse combo?

~Thanks

I have a Logitech MX duo that I like.

Justdeals has a refurb set for $47 shipped. Doesn't include the rechargable batteries though.

They ususally have new sets for $55, but they're oos right now.

Some wireless mice lags if you lift them from the surface. Personally I only use wired as I hate to change batteries or recharge them.

I have a wireless mouse which doesn't seem to hurt my FPS gaming at all.

Edit: although they do eat batteries as mentioned above. Hint: Get a rechargable with a docking station.

The wireless MX700 keyboard+mouse combo I have right now works great for gaming. However, batteries add weight and weight makes precision shots a little harder to perform. Also, finding out that you forgot to charge your mouse the night before by having it start dying mid-fight will get you mad. If you do a lot of gaming, like myself, then you'll find that your mouse needs to be recharged nightly, instead of every three nights like the box says.

Definitely get a wired mouse for gaming. The MX518 is probably what I'll switch to when it's available in my area and my wireless combo will move to my htpc.

I prefer wired mouse and wired dsl.

yea there isnt much a "lag" but in some games you need all the advantage you can get. (and trust me i sux enough to need all the edge i can get (mouse larger screen...hehe)
