Gaming on mac with friends using windows

I want to get some games for my mbp (BF2142, broodwar etc).Now my friends use windows computers. Thats no a problem, right?
I can play on the same servers and lan with windows computers, right?
 
Depends on the game, unless you are using windows via bootcamp. Then it's no issue at all.

Some games don't allow people playing the OS X version to play with people on the Windows version.
