Gaming on Dual Monitors

Hi all,
i"ve got my laptop runing with an exteral monitor on the vga port for gaming. Question is, IF I have my game ( Falcon 4 AF) running on the external monitor in full screen, can i switch the mouse to the laptop screen where i'm running a different program without using alt-tab?

Everytime i do alt-tab over to the other apps, the game will minimize. I want to be able to run the game and look at maps or flight info on the other monitor. Is this possible with one computer?

Usually no, unless you run the game in a window.
I think it's something to do with the way the game API works.

You can try running the game in a window, but that doesn't always help.

Gaming + multiple monitors = FAIL

Thanks, Guess I'll have to find a another way to get the info, might just have to print the manual.
