Gaming on Dell 2001fp

I read that the response time is 16ms.

Has anyone ever tried doing high end gaming (half life 2, doom3, counterstrike) with this monitor? Is there any ghosting? Is this a good monitor to buy for gaming?

No ghosting at all. Excellent monitor for gaming.

I use it for fps gaming and haven't noticed any ghosting. When you're not gaming text looks great at 1024x768 and 1152x864 (no scaling issues) if 1600x1200 is too small for you.

GottaDeal.com (among others) has been running Dell coupon codes to get one for under $500, if you wait they'll have new coupons again eventually.

Excellent monitor for gaming. I have had mine for about 5 months now and I am totally satisfied. I play HL2, Farcry, & Doom 3 and have no ghosting no screendoor effect no artifacts and no dead or stuck pixels. Plays DVD's with brite and vibrant colors. I am using the digital input, but I have tried the other 3 (VGA, S-Video, & composite), they all produce a wonderful picture. Excellent monitor and I plan on buying another 2001fp, in the near future, as "Dave Simmons" posted above a little patience and a couple of coupon codes and you can't beat the deal of less than $500 on such a quality LCD.

I've been looking around for 20" + good gaming LCDs @ 1600x1200...the Dell seems to be the best bet.
