Gaming on a t410s doesn't feel right

Is it because it's an old laptop?

I had a hp stream 11 that I handed down to someone and i didn't have a problem with regards to feel. not sure

but with the t410s, just doesn't feel right. I don't know if it's the screen size, the keys, the way the precision of the cursor moves, the os(win8) or what
I'm at my best on my desktop for some reason. Not sure if it's because i have a 24inch monitor

If I get an updated gaming laptop, will I have this problem that i have with the thinkpad t410s? Gonna hand this old laptop down. It's great for web browsing

Games i play are WC3 frozen throne and CS:GO

actually it's where i have been playing. put the laptop on a platform(table) and i can do ok with it. I was judging my performace while laying down on a bed with my legs inclining the laptop. For wc3 ft that is. not sure if this thing can even run CS:GO
