Reducing resolution in an LCD screen (e.g. QHD at FHD) results in blurry text in most cases, but is it an issue for gaming?
I'm considering getting a QHD screen and trying to work around the small text by changing Windows DPI settings (and living with the occasional broken app and truncated button labels). The question is - would a QHD screen like Dell U2715H be competitive to a FHD screen (e.g. P2714H) for gaming, assuming both are run at FHD for this purpose? I seriously doubt my Radeon HD7850 can run many games at QHD with reasonable framerate, so would likely need to use FHD. I'm not planning to upgrade my video card in the near future.
For reference, the CPU is i7 4770K and I have 8GB of RAM.
Thanks!
