Gaming on a MacBook?

If you review this thread, you'll see that I am in the market for a new laptop. I am currently leaning toward the Thinkpad T61, but I'm seriously considering making the leap to a MacBook. My only question is: can I run reasonably recent games (last few years or so) without any problems on a MacBook? I'm thinking Warcraft III, Rise of Nations, Civilization IV, etc. Feedback is appreciated.
 
I have run all those games (except Warcraft 3) and many others on my MacBook. You have to sacrifice at times. But most older games can be run at full res.
 
Those games should play better now that the Macbook has the X3100. Look for comparable laptops with the X3100 to see what type of frames you would get
