I have read many posts about the scaling lag with 2405's due to cheap dsp's. After reading the Fear performance test on teh main page and how it brings even the 7800GTX to it's knees at high res's (let alone not supporting above 1600x1200) I was wondering if anyone else plays at non-native rez. I could see WOW looking beautiful and being playable at 1920x1200, but ever since I locked myself away at the bar for a week to quit playing that crack rock of a game that won't be an issue. I will be doing a PC upgrade at the same time as getting this monitor, but after having my Radeon 9800 (non pro) work so well for so long, I'd hate to have to get onto a vid card upgrade cycle every 6 months.

Then I would recomend a nice, pretty 21" CRT. I am sure a 2405FPW is beautiful, but a quick look at the charts will show you it takes a LOT of graphical hardware to run that resolution, and that isn't going to change. By the way, you can always get a refurb 21" CRT and only use it as a gaming display. It isn't free, but you are already spending nearly 1k on your monitor.

Well I was considering a 2005FPW, or maybe looking at that new Gateway 21" widescreen since it's the first with HDCP, but I wanted to see if anyone with this LCD actually does game at non-native rez. God I should go to bed... i'm going to have a bad freaking hangover when i wake up :(
