R2 Mark II

I saw this on Tomshardware the other day and it looked odd so I did a little more research.
Other that it's strange looks, it has many other "qualities" that distinguish it from other mice.

- Runs on 3 ball bearings.
- 12mhz cpu and ram for storing up to 30 profiles
- 4 top and 3 side Membrame switches for buttons (think tv remote buttons)
- No drivers, everything is onboard
- Designed to be controled by your fingers not your entire hand
- Variable dpi up to 1600dpi in 100dpi increments
- "Smart" buttons recognize clicks, holds, and double clicks.
- Other stuff

I realize some of these features are sort of bogus, but some seem to make a lot of sense to me.

Mostly its really weird. My roommates all think it is hideously ugly. I want one. :)

Thoughts? Anyone else seen, or even better, used one of these? I wasn't able to find any sort of reviews.

Very, very interesting. Thanks for the link, I may just buy one if I ever have extra money. It was the picture of the attractive woman at the top of the page that sold me.

You have to watch the video. It's under Gallery. Any clip that starts with someone saying "Owned!" has to be awesome.

comfrot has to be a factor. I doubt it would feel good to not rest your hand for 3 hrs straight.

i totally wish that trackball tech had advanced along side conventional mice.
