hey,
looking for a fairly cheap gaming moniter, 1080p, 23" - 25".
I was looking at the asus ML249H and the LG flatron W2361V-PF.
Which of those two is better or do you know any moniters that are better than them for around the same price.
thanks :)

If you do FPS, a 120Hz pc monitor will be the best option, IMO

LG is horrible Korean/china company. Everyone I know with their stuffs, it breaks down. Cheap and this cheap LG 24" my cousins third time with the monitor.. they were dead from frys,, Anyhow its POS if its korean or chinese made.

Japanese is what you need.

LED your latency will be 5ms ,, still laggy, My experience with my rig, it feels the same as my CRT >. no delay,, UT3 plays amazing Crysis 2 etc. 1080p vysnc on high detail , 4xAA 16AF and stuff flys,,, every one of my games take avg 30percent to 70 percent. So VC is dishes out all the frames it can. And no in Christ name would never use vsyncOFF is ugly and screen tear. My cousins LG 24" 2ms is soo laggy input, yours will be two , Human eye sees life @ 60hz ,,,, no need for more then that if its new LCD technology,, Im enjoying life. thx

I don't understand why you responded to his post about 120 hz monitors with a criticism of LG.

120 hz monitors are not cheap. But any serious gamer should get a 120 hz monitor, or you're missing out. I would much rather get a 1080p 120 hz monitor than a 1440 or 1600p 60 hz monitor.

The ASUS you mentioned costs $230. You can get a Viewsonic 120 hz monitor. Keep in mind this is an old model and is inferior to newer 120 hz monitors, but its cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824116452

As for 5 ms being insufficient for 120 hz - yes it's not ideal. But 120 hz will still make a big difference.

If you can afford a bit more go with this Acer
