Hey I have a boomslang but it just doesnt feel right. I tried going optical a while back but they were too jerky. Another problem that i had with the optical was that i couldnt program the buttons seperately. Also, when you would click the mouse scroll in a game it would exit the game, as if you pressed alt + tab, and an interface would come up, some scroll wheel surfing tool or what-have-you. Is this still around? Is there a fix? Do the opticals compare to boomslangs at all? What ones did you all find to be the best out there. I would love one with 5 buttons amd great control.

Owned both.
Optical is way better.
If it is jerky, try a different surface.

It is better when the object is darker. The mouse will work poorly ( or not at all) when used on a light, or white surface.
