Gaming marathon ideas?

Situation: The woman is going to be out of town for four days, and I have the rest of the week off from work, plus the weekend. I plan to bachelor it up, eat unhealthy, disregard pants, and sleep very little.

What are some good ideas for gaming while she's gone? I mean, I could easily play Skyrim the entire time, but I was thinking I might play through say, all of Super Mario World in one sitting, or something like that. Any old school ideas? Mine so far (but I'm not attached to any of them):

FF7
SMW
Chrono Trigger
Mario RPG
Ocarina of Time
LttP

When does the FFX remake release? I thought it was today actually... but I don't think that's right anymore, if it ever was.

You should narrow it down to games you know you can beat in that span :p LOL, it took me weeks to beat FF7...but I was 13 and I spent too much time fucking around

You're picking long games. I'd go with quick online action games or shorter 8 hr games.

That or pick your favorite and knock it out.

Lol, I wasn't implying I would play every game I listed. I will probably only play one, even if it's just SMW.

FF7 I know by heart, so it wouldn't take me very long. Same for Oot and LttP.

I've always liked LttP. It isn't a super long game but for some reason it is always fun. That gets my vote.

Alternatively, I haven't beat FF7 since it came out. A lot of that game would be a mystery to me at this point, I should fire it up some day. I just remember changing discs right when Aries dies, epic moment in gaming history that will not be forgotten.

I would pick up the new Metal Gear Solid HD remakes and play through any of those that you might not have played, and if you have then play MGS3 because it's the best in the series and the boss fights are goddamn amazing.

I've been wanting to do a Sonic marathon for awhile. Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Generations. The 3D games can go screw.

What kind of crap relationship are you in that requires you to be wearing pants while your girlfriend is around?

Lol I actually don't wear pants generally. I just wanted to emphasize my imminent laziness.

Wife and daughters visited family the Friday after T-day. I steam-cleaned the living room carpet (was in dire need) and did the whitest thing I can imagine: cranked up Metallica's Kill em All album and played guitar along with it. I had intended to play Skyrim all day but spent a long time cleaning (well worth it) and I rarely get any guitar / amp time.

Specs: Les Paul Studio, 2002, Wine Red with gold-colored hardware. Peavey 5150 2x12 combo.

I would play skyrim all day if I had to play games. I hear there is a patch coming out tomorrow.

edit: played some RATM, Tonic, Bad Religion, Sponge, etc. I am stuck in 1992, music-wise. Also, Metallica of old would be pretty disappointed with post 1993 Metallica, and would probably bludgeon them if at all possible.

here's the plan.

go on a long-ass run/tough as fuck workout. get a NFL personal trainer to really whip the fuck out of you.

Then crawl home into the gaming chair and play, um, mass effect 2 start to finish as a vanguard.

Fallout 3 stuff.

And I agree, pants are always optional, girl or no girl. And physically smoke yourself first, it eliminates any feelings of guilt for laying about gaming.

With all the awesome new games out, you want to waste time replaying the same stuff you've replayed over and over again? Why?

She likes to watch me play through pretty much everything new, and playing something I love from my childhood is nice and relaxing, and she wouldn't want to see it.

FWIW, though, so far I've just been playing Skyrim :p. I like the Sonic idea, so I may do that soon.

Try to play through the entire Resident Evil series.

I bought RE2 on PSN for $3 and I've been having a blast with it.

Super Metroid
Vagrant Story
Phantom Dust
River City Ransom
Zelda: Wind Waker
Odin Sphere
Final Fantasy Tactics
Castlevania: SOTN
Ogre Battle

If you're a PC gamer too:
Baldur's Gate II (It might take longer than 4 days though)
Freespace II

Those are the games I end up playing over and over again - may not be your tastes, but it is what it is!
