hey i really need help buyin a gamin laptop which is generally a desktop replacement which i wont be movin here n there as often..

either Pentium M or Pentium 4 with/without HT? wuts P 4-M.... wuts l2 cache in P-M???

also which graphics card is the best to play games with them...

also if the above problems are solved, plz temme where shld i buy this notebook from??? compaq,dell,acer,etc.....

i am really confused and i need help.. tell me in detail....

procesor: Pentium M 1.5g or more OR P 4 3.0g or more
Hard Drive: 30 gb or more
Software: Windows XP Pro
Ram: 512mb or more
Graphics Card: ????? (need help)

my budget is around around 2000-2300 $

shld i wait for laptops with pci-e cards in em....... how much will that cost overall

why is it that everyone thinks the IBM Thinkpad is the end all be all of laptops? It isn't the only choice out there people!!! And in this case it isn't even close to being the best choice. There are laptops with ATI 9800's and 9700's that will run rings around a 9600. 1.7Ghz Dothan will pale in comparison to a 3Ghz CPU. He doesn't care about portability and he wants the best graphics card out, none of which the T42 has.

oops, now that I read that part I feel like a fool. Anyways, sorry for the rant, just tired of hearing about IBM T42's all the time. there's more of course...
