My dad is looking at getting my brother a laptop for christmas,,he's decided to get him a laptop that will be decent for gaming. I've basically been given the job of chosing it.
So, I've chosen the Dell Inspiron 9300. It has a GeForce 6800 and 1GB or DDR2-533. I'm just trying to pick a CPU. I have the option of:
Pentium M 760 - 2.00GHz - 2MB Cache - 533MHz FSB
Pentium M 770 - 2.13GHz - 2MB Cache - 533MHz FSB (+AU$238 / +US$175)
Pentium M 780 - 2.26GHz - 2MB Cache - 533MHz FSB (+AU$628 / +US$463)
Basically, as far as gaming goes, is it worth it to go for a gruntier CPU? I've decided on the 2GHz model as a minimum, but I'm wondering if it will be a bottleneck?
Anyway, whatever comments you have will be appreciated.
