Gaming Laptop overheating

I have the y410p and when playing starcraft 2 in Ultra, the GPU would be as hot as 85 degrees celcius.

Everything runs smoothy though.

Has anyone have an overheating laptop that survive past two years before?

Mine is the Nvidia 755m gt version.

85 is fine (though not ideal). The only thing to watch out for is making sure the GPU maintains boost clocks under load.

If the computer isn't shutting down or slowing down to prevent damage, it probably isn't getting damaged. Laptop components are typically higher binned than desktop components and designed to withstand more heat. A good desktop has at least three case fans, at least two fans for each GPU, and at least one fan for the CPU. A good laptop has two fans. See the difference?
