Gaming IPS for around $300?

My old LG died that I have loved for years. So I bought a Asus VG248QE and while very smooth (@120hz) I find the colors horrible. I have adjusted, changed color profiles and it just never gets right. I even borrowed a friends color matching software (for photography) and while better its still not what I would consider good, for a brand new gaming monitor.
So now I restart my search for a good 24" gaming IPS to replace this thing with. I would like something fast with a high refresh rate, low lag and a decent response time for gaming.

Recommendations for around $300 for a 24" monitor?

Thanks guys

Look at the Korean 1440p's that overclock to 96-120hz.....right in your wheelhouse with good colors and better than average IPS response times and usually right around $300

Typically 27" but that's a good thing!

Stand is wobbly, but you can use a vesa mount if you wish. Pretty common to have the silver accent piece on the back of the monitor broken off during shipping/transit but honestly if it wasn't there in the first place you'd never know it was supposed to be there. No display port/hdmi, DVI-D cable included.

The one I got didn't have any stuck/dead pixels, minor back light bleeding. Its a glossy panel also, which may be a plus or negative depending on what you want. With a little work I was able to get 120hz refresh, but the majority of the time I run 96.

Did you not read the post just above yours? 😀 Although many do make it to 120hz, just not guranteed.

I bought one of the Korean 2560x1440 (Qnix) monitors about 3 years ago. It's been a great monitor for me. No dead pixels and minimal backlight bleed. It's my best monitor purchase ever.

Dell 2412

This one just got updated into the Dell 2415 and 2415(h). The 2415/(h) is a little better than the 2412, mostly an evolution, and really reasonably priced. I picked up 3 2415(h)'s for $160 a pop on black friday. Basically similar guts in a chassis with really really thin bezels.

Not too applicable for you OP though as this one is limited to 60hz.
