Hi,
I have been researching a build for January and am wondering what I should do about my mouse and keyboard. I would like to play games (such as Crysis and World in Conflict) but would also like to use it as a HTPC?so the tower will be by my TV and I will be back probably 8-9 feet.
I have read that Bluetooth can work from farther away but I have also read a lot of people have problems with it disconnecting. As for RF, the Logitech G7 is on sale for $30 at clubit (until the 6th) and people seem to like that. I have not found much on keyboards so any recommendations there would be appreciated. Do most RF mice/keyboards have a moveable receiver so that I could get some type of extension for when I am on the computer? Would it be better to combo maybe the G7 with the Logitech Dinovo?
I would like the best mix of reliability and low cost with my price range total anywhere from $60-$100.
Thanks in advance.
Mike

yeah i would just buy a 30ft usb cable, snake it around or through the walls and put the receiver on that, underneath your couch or something. thats what i did until i got my gyration mouse and keyboard, those work fine from 10ft away. but i dont game on them. it is nice to have a usb port by your chair, i even have plans to put usb ports inside the arm rests.
