Hi,

Can anyone recommend a gooood gaming headset with good sound and good mic.

Thanks

I got the Icemat White Siberia headphones. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836508101 <-- They are real nice but they are out of stock on most website except datavis.. http://www.datavis.com/webapp/commerce/...uctDisplay?prrfnbr=456567&prmenbr=2000
^ They are out of stock everywhere else. I just bought it from datavis a month ago.. They also have 7.1 surround soundcard included with it. They work fine and are very comfortable - you can wear them for hours without discomfort. The sound is great also - in CSS, i can hear every single footstep near me. The mic is good as well. Also, they are 90 bucks or more in many other places - datavis is the only site that sells them for 70 bucks. It's well worth the 70 bucks - I highly recommend buying them, unless if your budget is like 200+. If its that high, get a wireless headset(i think sony has a good 200 buck wireless headset. I am not too sure). again, if you look at the reviews of the icemat white/black siberia, they are very high. http://www.datavis.com/webapp/commerce/...uctDisplay?prrfnbr=456563&prmenbr=2000 ^these are the white ones if you want them instead of the black. Same thing, just different color.

edit: I also heard that the e-dimensional ones are good also but I don't know for sure. http://www.edimensional.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=30&ref=73 <- I never tried them.

I personaly have teh Plantronics .Audio 90 Headset and it is the greatest Mic I have ever used. I have had no complaints abou it.

And the headphones on it sound better than my Logitech X-530 Speakers.

Hey thanks for the info guys, will check out what you recommended. I have heard of the Icmat headsets but didn't know anything about them. How do you like the mic with the clip?

The mic isn't bad but if you are not careful, the clip from the mic can break. You can just push it back on if it comes off somehow. Mic is not GREAT, it's just good - not a lot of background noise will enter but again, it's not the best mic. You can also remove the mic if you are using a cd-player with it to listen to music and stuff - with the sound-controller off, the wire isn't too long. Also, there is a very thin string-like metal on the headphone themselves - you have to be careful when putting them on. Those are the only two things that can break, if you pull the headphones off very quickly or drop them.
