Gaming earphones?

Hi I hate wearing gaming headphones because it messes my hair up and it leaves a flat patch on my head. Ewww.

Anyway does anyone know any good gaming earphones with mic? Gaming earphones+mic even a thing? What I mean by earphones 2 earplugs

problem is the driver diameter on ear phones vs ear plugs.
Also the noise cancel ability of over the hear vs encapsulated.

If you live in a dorm, you want the encapsulated, as they leak very little noise to your room mates, and also buffer the loud ones outside so you can enjoy your game without becoming deaf.

As for the hair problem, my gf had that issue as well.
There really isnt a fix to it, as ear plugs will never be as great as ear phones.

Since I prefer not to mess up my hair and wear headphones, I generally get ones a bit snug and wear them with the band behind my head.

What you are looking for are behind the neck headsets, like this or this. With this style it goes behind your head, not on top, and you can even place the band under your pink/purple/green/blue hair so it completely disappears. You'll forget you're wearing it as you argue with that 13-year-old boy who swears he's really a 20-year-old girl! :thumbsup: You'll get all the babes, too, because this is what you'll look like while wearing it (same style, different brand/model).

I was actually looking for something similar like the iPhoen earphones. No headband just 2 ear pieces and mic attached to the wire. So nothing is touching my hair at all. Nothing. I hate stuff touching my hair it's gross and I realize that wearing headphones makes your hair greaser because the headband sits on your hair making your hair suffocate its true

I want something like the iPhone earphones. :thumbsup:

See if you can find some Monster Turbines for cheap (they'd be good gaming earphones I think, they're a bit old so there's probably something newer and better and likely cheaper now), and then get a mic cable or separate clip-on mic.

Scroll down to get to the more affordable stuff. There's some gaming focused threads on Head-Fi but they can be weird. I'm sure there's good advice on adding a mic (either cable or separate clip-on), but you might have to dig for it. Could possibly just ask as well.
