Was Looking around for reviews etc. on ASUS VS Series VS228H-P monitor..
Came across this thread and had to become A member so I could reply to this and say..

DO NOT buy computer(s) from e-bay...

And I will also say..I am looking forward to Diablo 3.. However..
You WILL NOT need over-the-top Enthusiast-Grade hardware to run it!

My old computer's motherboard died A few months back. and Diablo 3 is A game I was/am looking forward to. (I still play Diablo 2...)

So.. I scoped out newegg.com among other sites.. built A computer for under 500 bucks (without monitor! hence I landed here in my search for "ASUS VS Series VS228H-P").

Now..for 500 bucks..build it myself? how terribad is it?

random flimsy case (raidmax..looked good..matched my mobo..lmao)

1.5 tb hdd (was like 50 bucks when I got it..now no longer even sold there)

Also.. I did catch most of my components while they were on shell shocker deals or e-blast promos etc..so it was WAY cheaper..
(was under $490.00! lol)

Now..how I look at it..I plan to use the on-board crap video on the motherboard until diablo 3 ships.
(OR some other game I MUST have/play comes along)
Then when I see final spec requirements..then I will dump out money for A video card. imho .. it's all about the graphics card when it comes to gaming. (then again..dont short change yourself elsewhere!)
What's this? no Dual 16X pci slots on that mobo?
Nope..dont plan on running dual gfx cards anyways..was A budget build..lol
1 16X slot will suffice. made sure to pick out A board that has some of the newer tech on it (usb 3.0 , sata III 6.0GBps, etc.).

Granted..In the end..still need an operating system
(windows needs to be 64bit OS for 4gb+ ram)
Monitor, keyboard/mouse/speakers.
Lookin at about $80-$120 for win7 home prem. 64bit, $30 for keyboard/mouse.
$150 for A monitor (as is the case/reason I'm even posting this essay of nonsense).
And will end up putting out $100-$250 for A dedicated Graphics card.

Then Again..I'm using windows 7 pro 64bit that I took with me from my old computer that died out.
(sticker on side of case with serial key/borrow A win7 cd. tada..thanks acer!)
My old keyboard/mouse.
And as for that dreaded monitor part..lmao
An old ass IBM e74 crt monitor I junk picked..

Other ways to go..get anything that is full tower size with quad core cpu or better, 8gb ram or better, and ATLEAST one 16X pciE slot.
Upgrade the grapics card to atleast spec required for diablo 3..(or better!).
With the prebuilt dell etc systems..will probably have to upgrade the power supply as well to power that graphics card!

or...they may just release it for a console..:D

My other thoughts/add ons for the setup I have. I plan on putting 8Gb more ram in (max), and eventually getting A sata III solid state drive.

Minty, you will probably get a more complete response if you start a new thread that includes answers to the questions in the sticky. My initial gut reaction though is that you will be better off with a Core i3.
