So for my sons 13th birthday was a week a go and he received mostly cash from family and friends. With this money he wants to build a new pc or at least get some parts to start the build going. Due to his age funds are tight. Right now he has around $450 saved and we will be reusing some components so that will help. Anyway, now onto the questionnaire.
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Mostly gaming and general surfing. Games played vary but include Dying Light, Blade and Sorcery, and Rainbow Six Siege newest one.
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
$450-$600MAX
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
US
4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.
5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Just the best bang for the buck. no fanboys here.
6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Case, monitor, mouse, PSU, 480gb SSD, 1tb HDD, and kb.
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Default speeds, no oc'ing.
8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?
1920x1080 60hz
9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
He wants to start buying parts right away. He has $450 burning a hole in his pocket so I thought maybe start with the essentials. Mainbaord, CPU, and RAM.
