Too much trouble for what it's worth, I'm not so sure how long 8800GS cards are but those would be ideal, you can get one over at NewEgg with rebate for $120, a pretty good deal and a pretty good card for 1280x720 (even Crysis will run at high at that res no so problem), if you don't like or can't have rebates might as well get the slightly more expensive 9600GT for $165 at NewEgg, I don't think it's a very long card and it will be excellent for any game out there at 1280x720.

If you can spend a little more, there is Galaxy 8800GT at NCIXUS which is 205$ + 12 shipping but you get the option of a $30 rebate and is only 8" long. Your other option is a Gigabyte TurboForce 8800GT at NewEgg for 235 + 5 shipping or at Zipzoomfly for 240 and free shipping, the card is only much shorter.

An SLI 7 series setup is just not worth it, even if get sli 7900GTX (which would be expensive for what they are worth) they still wouldn't be faster than a nice 8 series-card.

Additional options for 8800GT (though I am unsure of length):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814127329 (MSI 8800GT, dual slot cooler, $219.99, $189.99 after $30 rebate)

Those were the best deals I could find in a hurry.

P.D: By the way, you could also consider an ATI card but the cheapest I could find was the ATI HD 3850 for something around $160, for that price an 9600GT will be bring a lot more bang for you buck and even the 8800GS will bring better performance with or without the incredible rebate.
