Gaming and the 2005fpw

I am looking into buying two 20" LCD's and I do a fair amount of gaming (around 5 hours per week). I've been thinking the 2001fp but I saw the 2005fpw came out. The 12ms response time seems nice but I don't know how necessary it is. I have a 1801fp and it has been great for gaming for me. The only downside is the resolution. If I can't run a game 1280 x 1024 the game doesn't look great. Since the 2005fpw runs at 1680 x 1050, do you guys think that there will be problems gaming with it? Games like battlefield don't even support 1280x1024 so I don't think to many games are going to be supporting 1680x1050. And of course if the resolution isn't supported the game doesn't look nearly as nice as it should. So would guys go 2001fp or 2005fpw?

I have a 2001fp on its way and briefly contemplated cancelling for the 2005fpw. However I decided the 2001 is what I want because:
1. I watch movies on a 50" hdtv, not my pc.
2. Non-standard resolution isn't supported by all of the games I play, could possibly be forced in some.
3. It's less screen real estate overall.
4. I will be using a 19" crt along side it, no need for a wide display. Most documents I read are many pages long, not wide.

Overall it's personal preference. Also I believe it is 12ms gray to white, not black to white?

I think I'm gonna go with the 2001fp. The weird resolution of the 2005fpw is a bigger negative than the 12ms positive.

When playing most games.........would there be black bars on the sides of the screen? Or would it be stretched to fit the display?

Mount the monitor vertical then you got lot's of room for reading long documents. One thing I wished more lcd's had. Rotating mounting as part of the base. Then you could use the monitor either way depending what you were doing.
