Will be ordering a 24 inch wide screen DELL 2407WFP. My first wide screen monitor. Are the newer games being written to support wide screen? I don't want to get the big wide screen then have my games "stretched" to fit the screen.

Looking to get new MOH, then Crysis and COD4.

Yes. I got a Dell 24 inch, and games look great on it. Most of the games will not need to be stretched. DO IT!

i was in your same boat on lcd's.

When i researched, i noticed dell had a hugh recall on the 24 inch LCD's. At the time i did more digging, and found out that Gateway's 24 was raited higher on reviews.

So, i went out and bought one to test out. Im absolutely SOLD on this monitor. I loved it so much i bought a second one to pair them, and my Dell 20.1 is now at the office.

I recomend you take a look at the Gateway 2485W LCD's b4 you press that buy button.

reverse ghosting issues?

I havent noticed any of that. Can you give me an example so i can test to see it?

Gateway 2485 underwent another revision. Even my friend who has a 30 inch dell says the pictures look a lot crisper and more alive then his dell.

Goto a BnM store like Circuit City and take a look at it for yourself. Thats the best way to see which one would fit your bling.

The current rev of the 2407wfp-HC (A00) is affected by severe ghosting/shadowing/halo effects. I have one, and while it is a great monitor 95% of the time, it can drive you absolutely nuts the other 5% due to graphical glitches.

I have no idea about the Gateway.
