Gaming 4ever - What should I get

Hello, I have currently

P4 3.0 HT
1Gb RAM PQI DUAL-CHANNEL
Radeon ATI X800xl AGP
-----------------------------------------

I want to change to AMD, ( For gaming I heard )
What should I get:

I was thinking of A8N-SLI Premium
AMD 64 3700 with 1MB cache
(should I get more ram?)
Also need a PCI-E Videocard, NVIDIA? ATI? what model? Dont wanna pay 500, about 280 CAN.

How does that sound, anyone have better Ideas?

A. you don't know he's going to be overclocking
B. he said gaming, dualcore is not the best choice in this situation, he'd be better off spending saved money on an upgraded video card or even more ram before forking over extra for a faster/more robust CPU.
C. good luck finding the 165 in stock, or for a fair price.
