GameXStream psu fan too loud. Can I change it?

Hey, I finally got my system built. I had wanted a quiet system that I can sleep with on, but the power supply on this one (GameXstream 700W) is kinda loud. It's a high pitched noise. I held my finger in there, turned it on. And stopped the fan for like 4 seconds, then turned it off again. And the sound was gone.

Does anyone know if I'm able to put my own fan in there? Maybe a 120mm yate loon led? How would I do that?

Thanks

...!!!

Well are the GameXStream's fans usually that loud? It's not LOUD, but its average. Like a normal fan I guess. But everything else in the case (yate loons), are near silent.

So if the power isn't plugged in, how will I electrocute myself? How long do you think I would have to wait for the transistors to lose their charge?

The capacitors, not the transistors. It may be possible to replace the fan without touching anything else, but for safety's sake, wait at least 24 hours after the PSU has been unplugged from 120V.

Once it's opened up, disconnect the fan header, or if the fan wires are soldered to a PCB, cut and splice in another fan.

Unplug the PSU and press the PC's power button a few times to discharge thecapacitors. Then you're best off leaving it disconnected overnight to bleed off any residual charge. After that, you should just be able to crack it open and swap the fan. Try to avoid touching any of the internal components. Most power supplies use a proprietary fan header so you'll probably have to splice in the connector from the original fan. Also, this will definitely void your warranty.
