Gamestop In-Store pickup question

Ok, so I've never pre-ordered anything with GameStop until ME3.

My primary question is: Do I have to wait for them to call me or can I just go to the store with the confirmation and get it right now?

Also for anyone who has gotten them from the store already, did you get the bonus code? If you got several copies did you get and equal number of codes?

Edit: HA! Didn't realize those slackers don't open until 10am.

First, let me offer my condolences for pre-ordering from gamestop.

Second, you go on the day of release as early as possible, midnight release? Better go at midnight. The later you go, the more likely you will not get your pre-order. Why? A lot of gamestop employees take preorders for themselves and tell customers they're "too slow" so they "gave away" the preorder. Some gamestops call you, some don't give a rat's ass.

Gamestop does not honor preorders like they should, and any collectables (artbooks, keychain, etc) you supposedly get with them is a crapshoot at best. It really depends on what type of people work at your local gamestop and whether they want your collectibles.

Pretty much every Gamestop will hold reserves for 48 hours, especially if the quantity is limited. ME3 is a huge release, they will have hundreds of extras, so you're fine.

But yeah, you can go in right when they open.

Got it. Line was only 8 or so people deep but took about 15mins. They printed out a code receipt for each copy.

I saw a few people get turned away because they hadn't pre-ordered, the whole store laughed at them.

Wow, how big is your city? I'm extremely surprised they didn't have a ton of extras, unless their extras get delivered today.

We have three GameStops.

Local city population is roughly 116K, plus another 40k or so college level students.
