I have a ton of DVD's laying around I just dont need, want, etc. I call up Gamestop to get an idea of what I can get in trade value to get my kids some more GC games.

Trade in value of DVD movies...$2 bucks each. I then go to the website to see what the same DVD's are selling for "pre-owned"...$17 bucks. Hey Gamestop, why dont I just come in and give you $15.

$2 bucks each is just ridiculous.

I am headed to EB Games, my new favorite game store. I was just quoted $7 each which is more like it:)

Nah, I wouldnt be able to sell these movies for much more than $7-9 bucks anyway through FS/T forums or Ebay. Then shipping would kill it.

That's good to hear, I was thinking about doing the same with some of my DVDs but I was worried I'd get offered $2-3 each :p

That may be. However, I was quoted a higher price (after a bit of hassle because the manager didnt want to quote me over the phone, but eventually did) at EBgames. We'll see when I get there.

yea i hate the way gamestop is ran... I bought 2 psp's from there and I asked them what happens if I get one that has dead pixels everywhere... the guy fed me a bunch of bs saying the "newer" versions have been fixed from dead pixels etc etc... so I went ahead and bought two of them... I opened one and surely enough there were 5 dead pixels... I grabbed my receipt which had, "OPENED ITEMS CANNOT BE RETURNED" and headed towards the store. I told them 5 dead pixels was just ridiculous and asked for a new unit. They fed me some more BS about how they usually send back the unit to sony and finally traded it out for a new one. I really wanted to return it and get it somewhere else... but since OPENED ITEMS CANNOT BE RETURNED, I just demanded a new one. Next time Ill take my business where they atleast refund your money if the product purchased has a factory defect.
