RUNNING TELOCITY DSL SERVICE W/ STATIC IP

Im running win2000 on my server computer running
norton's internet security 2000 2.0 and I have 2 other computers sharing the there server using 'Internet Sharing Connection'.
Anyone get Gamespy to run Halflife to work?
when i disable the security program.. i can access my games as normal.

I've tried the following:
enabled firewall support on gamespy 26000-28000
Tried UDP and TCP/UDP on Norton Security Ranges 26000-28000

Enabled Proxy Server Support at 80
also added that to Norton's setup

I can't get a ping at all on any servers.

If i set Norton's Securty center to "medium" I get a ping and i can load the game up.. but it wont allow WON to authenticate my Halflife game...
so in other words.. the game wont start.

any suggestions?

I'm planning on getting the Linksys 4 port DSL/Cable modem Router.. will I run into any problems similar to this? if so.. could u guide me to the process?

Thanks!

NIS is a software firewall. and the linksys is a hardware firewall.

for you to do what you want, you have to disable that firewall on the PC that you are using, and subsequent servers that you use.
