Is there any games that has local co-op or local co-op split screen play for PC? If so, it would be great to have a list. When I found out that you need a code to play Left 4 Dead 2 local co-op, I was bummed out.

I'm into fps, games like Diablo, board games etc.
 
I was looking at Lego Marvel Super Heroes since it is on sale on Steam for 4.99 right now. It lists that it has local co-op. I was wondering if that meant that we could hook up 2 Xbox controllers to my HTPC and play it together.
 
most of the lego ones are local coop with two controllers. some of the newer ones have an annoying split scren mechanic and you can't lock the way it splits. it kind of rotates around almost randomly. I think serious sam 3 is local coop with a split screen. monaco is a good one. guacamolee is good. lara croft and the guardian of light is another one.

i usually look for local coop games to play. there's some lists online you can look at.

A lot of steam big picture games are local coop with contrller support.

I am not sure what you mean by needing a code to play left 4 dead local coop. My kids and I used to play l4d local all the time.

Shank I think has local co-op, it's kind of like a Streets of Rage - pretty short but I quite enjoyed it. Some adult themes and plenty of blood though.

Castle Crashers is another side-scrolling beatemup type game which may work.

Developer console is activated with that command, which is used to change settings in game or test certain features. Used by developers to make sure it works fine.
