Games with highest fun factor

Some games are fun to play multiplayer... and I will exclude them from this thread. I'm looking for a game that's fun to play on your own - so if it's a great multiplayer game that is a nice bonus but not very relavent.

Also try to suggest games that would go nicely with the following hardware : tbird 1.3, 1gb ddr, radeon 9000-128,..

I'm not a big gamer but it would be nice to have a new game to play with here and there. I never actually complete games.. so if it was a game with an interesting story that keeps you interested that'd be good.

i'm completely out of the loop when it comes to games so point me in the right direction or throw in your suggestions!

I've played Kingpin before. It lagged a lot on my Banshee and TNT2. I should try it now. 🙂

My bro used to be into the Fallout games. Never struck me as anything special. Your overview of the game..?

Deus Ex, a conspiracy themed sci fi shooter with multiple solutions to each dilemma. It's a few years old and would do fine on your hardware.

Another game I can't get enough of is Aliens versus Predator 2 and it's expansion pack, Primal Hunt. It puts you inside the Aliens movie-world. You get to play through three different ways: as a Marine, an Alien, and as a predator. The expansion pack you play through as a Corproate (human), Predalien (alien), and as a Predator. The story is fairly involved, although you can ignore it if you just want to blow stuff up/eviscerate stuff. This is a Mature rated game, BTW.

Ohhh yeah. Just played a multiplayer game over the weekend, start to finish 🙂

AvP2 get's my vote as well. Play it at night, sound up, lights off.

Never played SS2 multiplayer, but I bet it's fun as hell

Edit: Just look what you've done.....

<---- goes in search for his SS2 disc 🙂

Can I get a demo of any of these games somewhere? Demos are usually pretty good for me cause if I can play all the way through that it's usually a good indiciation of whether or not I'll enjoy the game much. 😛

Or alternatively are any of these games available for a low price? P2P apps piss me off (just a pain in the ass to get anything good).

Jeez... I can't even find my SC cd! wtf is going on! I have Brood War and not Star Craft. Isn't that nice... :-\

thanks for the suggestions thus far!

Black & White

That game was pretty fun.

I don't know if there is a demo for it. But you can find it at Wal-Mart or Target most of the time for like $7 bucks or something.

Patch it up, 4 players coop through the single player. It's fun to have Psi, Marine and Navy all at your disposal. Great teamwork environments. Don't forget the high res models and high res texture packs.

Another one, I'm not sure whether it will run well on your card, but you can get a demo for it. Beyond Good and Evil, it's a pretty stunning peice of single player goodness. (From my impressions of the demo anyway)

How is the multiplayer for System Shock2? I have the game but I never got into it.

Is the cooperative aspect as good as it sounds?

What ever happened to the sequel to this game, BW2? This was one of the greatest and most original games ever created, and updates on the the sequel's progress have ceased to exist for the last few months. Anybody hear anything? 😕

I've started a monster.... 😛

OK, not to thread hijack too much but it's basically the same game as single player. EXACTLY the same, the difference being there can be up to 4 of you. It lends a lot to the game in terms of teamwork and strategy. I had a hacker char who would constantly disable the security systems and we had 2 marines to go in there and clear the enemies without fear of setting off alarms/sentry guns. It makes SS2 pretty fun, I've played through twice now with other people and I'm definitely going to be playing again. Any SS2 fan that hasn't tried multiplayer should try it.
