Games with good car crashes?

I dunno why, but I have an urge to play a fast-paced car game with exciting crashes. I rented "World's Scariest Police Chases" for the playstation, and it's amazing how they could take such a good idea and make it so boring.

So, any PC Games out there, with Demos available for download somewhere on the web, that would satisfy me this evening?

Thanks :)

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 for PS has some good crashes possible.

Esp. playing two-player Arcade Mode and using the "GREATBALLSOF" cheat to get fireballs that you shoot out of the front of your car! You can kick (figuratively speaking) your opponent all the way around the track, flipping, rolling, scraping, flying, throwing him into trees and rocks, etc!

I don't know if there's a demo available.

NFS: High Stakes for PS has some okay crashes, but no damage or anything. There was a PC version too.

It's old, but the original Carmageddon is still the best game by far for destroying stuff. :D I really wish they'd do a proper sequel to it... it's just so damn fun. :)

Yah man I remember playing the original Carmageddon and I hit a road block and I went so high in the air. Like I was just rising straight up in the air above all the buildings and into the clouds. I was in the air for like 15 seconds. It was f*cking weird man. :)

NFS Porsche Unleashed and High Stakes are okay...High stakes isnt too realistic, but Cops chase after you on a track. Porsche Unleashed is more realistic but not many cops :(

Carmageddon was the original run down pedestrians, cows, elephants, etc. Sometimes I'd be screaming down a road, hit something and the car would get completly crushed and go flying off so fast that my framerate cut in half.

Dude Nascar 4 no question!

I haven't played the new Nascar Season 2002, but Nascar 4 is a REALLY GOOD simulation. In other words, when you go the wrong way on the track at 200 MPH, and hit the first car in a line of 41, it'll be an absolutely horrifically beautiful wreck. I've never seen any wrecks like I've seen in this game. I payed $25 just so I could cause wrecks in this game. This is coming from someone who NEVER watches nascar, and who NEVER pays money for a video game. It's really just that good.

Better have a decent graphics card in your machine.

If you're looking for a cheap game, Driver is still one of my favorites. That has some crazy wrecks in it, too. I really like the PC version.

"BURNOUT" for PS2 and GameCube (comes out on 4-30-02).
I am amazed that this game hasn't be recommended yet! This game is based on crashing! They take it so far to as to show a 3-angle replay for every crash. They even give you a dollar estimate of how much damage your crash did. You can save your in-game crashes in the "Crash Gallery" and replay them later for your (and your friend's) enjoyment. This game is the a great compliment to GT3--GT3 is very realistic, but Burnout is a just great, high paced, fast action, arcade driver. I can't wait for it to come out on GameCube! I am going to buy it ASAP!

As for PC games I really like NFS Hot Pursuit! I haven't played that game in a long time but damn I remember some amazing pile-ups between me and the cops! Wow, I think I've gotta bust out that game again.... $hit I sold it! Oh well... GTA2 is pretty good, but just wait till GTA3 comes out... ah yeah! Never played Carmegedden, but sounds like I'd better try it.

What was the problem with Carmageddon 2? I liked it just as much if not more than 1. I have only played the demo of #3 and didn't care for it since the damn censors think we are damanged emotionally by running over normall looking people so now its zombies.
