The Sims?? lol that's probably the dumbest AI I've seen. Sure they do stuff when they need to, but even just a slight disruption and it screws the whole schedule up.

I didn't think Far Cry had great AI, it was alright but on more than several occasions I saw flaws.

The Best AI I've ever seen in a game to date still goes to Unreal Tournament 2k3/2k4.

Far Cry's AI was overrated. It was easy to pigeonhole guys by luring them around corners.

The enemies will track you, follow you and taunt you;) I do agree that the Far Cry AI can be lured around corners and such, but overall the experience with the AI is pretty good in my book.

Well more specifically the sims 2. The orginal Sims was pretty good for it's day. But one thing I remeber is when I went on a little murder rampage with my sims only one family memeber survived and he ended up dying anyway because he was too depressed to go on. He wouldn't eat, he'd cry all the time, refuse to talk to other sims.

I wasn't into the whole make a perfect sim deal so I didn't worry about the schedule that much. I just liked messing with them, I even had a little hillbilly family going for a while... who's family tree had no branches

Halo1 was the first game I experienced where the enemies would hide, duck, form groups, fall back, half decently. At least on legendary mode.

Far Cry computer AI is amazing . . . the mercenaries work together when they spot you, they'll flank you and try to flush you out from the side or behind you.

While Total Annihilation is probably my favorite game of all time, and the game I wasted the most time with at lan parties back in the 90s, I have to disagree about the AI. I think I've tried 4 or 5 different AI Mods, as well as the original AI ... and usually I can take on 3 of them (with them all teamed up) on the hardest difficulty within 2 hours. I pretty much only play large metal maps though, (Burning Woods is my favorite map ever). I haven't played too much over the last 3 or 4 years, but I can still kick the in game AI's butt.

There are no games with comparable AI to Far Cry as far as I'm concerned. While it wasn't exactly a multiplayers dream come true, it was quite good for single player.
