Games with a good community?

What are some good games with a good online fanbase/community that isnt full of morons (CS anyone?) Im not talking games ya gotta pay for like EQ.....

Asheron's Call used to be, it had a small following compared to games like UO or EQ but a nice group for a while, then rampant cheating set in.

If you join a CS clan that isn't full of asshats, it's a lot of fun. My old clan had a great time when we were still together. I think the built-in voice communication had a positive effect on the game (usually not pubs, I'm talking about clans here).

Cheezy in what way? If both sides are good its a load of fun.

Yeah its buggy but it is the first release.

There's a new (server-side) patch out. 1.04 supposedly fixes a lot, I haven't tried it yet though.

I tried it...they increased the fades resource cost to 54 :disgust:

For what it's worth in my hours on MechAssault for xbox I've found only a few asshats. Ocassionally you get a 13 year old who won't shutup, but it seems to me that since people feel that much closer to the players (since you're using voice and not text) people are more tentative in regards to lashing out at others, calling them faggots and mother f@$#ers. In fact I have to say I've yet to hear a single person be called a lovely human in mech assualt.

America's Army, its free, its a very good game, and the army polices the servers and boots cheaters for life. Oh, and if you TK, you will be in a prison cell and have to reboot the game to play again. Do it too many times and your account will be pulled.
