Pretty much any multiplatform game that's not an FPS is great with a gamepad. I really only use K+M for FPS and strategy games these days.

FPS isn't bad either on a gamepad as long as you're not playing online. If you are well.... it's about to get really disappointing :(

A list would be nice though. My goal has been to get a new gaming HTPC because console gaming just doesn't look as great when you're on a 70 inches or bigger for your viewing screen. I guess we'll see though once the new xbox 360 and PS4 comes out but somehow I think I'll be underwhelmed when compared to PC gaming. Actually, lets be real, I know I will and so will anyone else who PC games.

Overlord 2 is a really fun game. you can't really play it without a controller. Being evil and controlling minions as they sac towns and kill baby seals. It has a big element of strategy as well with different minion types, leveling them up, resurrecting them... The battles get really big and being able to place the right minions in the right place for the right purpose quickly is important. I've always thought of this game as one of those hidden gems that nobody ever talks about.

I wish so bad that I could get used to controllers. I grew up on keyboard and mouse during the half life/CS/Rainbow 6 era. Now when I go to play these new games like black ops with people who have only played on consoles, I get ruined. It almost seems like no matter how much I practice, my hands just aren't meant for it. Kinda sucks, cause it is nice to just chill on the couch.

Are you playing on PC or xbox? Because if your using a gamepad on pc vs pc players, you stand no chance. Im pretty decent when playing COD on xbl, but i tried playing with my gamepad against people on pc and i got ruined. Im a huge gamepad supporter, and i think every game that can - should support gamepads. When it comes to competitive games though, using a gamepad is never gonna cut it. I think if enough PC gamers start using gamepads, some games like COD should have gamepad only servers to play on, so its even.

Playing any other game mode is great with a gamepad - even multiplayer zombies was pretty cool.

There is one thing ive noticed on same games that i absolutely cant stand when using a gamepad. There are some games that ive played on 360, and on PC with the same controller, and the aiming is VERY different. I dont know if its some sort of auto aim or something, but some games make it almost impossible to play with a gamepad on PC - which is why i think a lot of people hate using a gamepad - they try it and cant hit a thing. I cant think of anything off the top of my head, but i do remember Metro was like that. I think BF3 was the same way when i tried to use my gamepad with it.

I was playing on xbox with some friends. They always played xbox/ps, and I always played on a PC. Whenever we get together to play games, I am always at the bottom. I am not one of the people who complain about keyboard/mouse being better either. I just know that I suck with a controller on FPS games. If you want to play a little madden/fifa with a controller, than I can hang. I just wish my hands could get it down, but they just can't seem to.

I am the same way... There are only two controllers that I have ever been able to play FPS's on, both of which will probably induce flaming: N64 (think Golden Eye, Turok series, etc.) and the xBox Fat
