games settings on x1800xt PE 512mb

Hello, i have this x1800xtPE, and i was wondering if would lag if i set some games (BF2, CSS, HL2, CoD2.....etc) at 1200x1600 at all high.

it will a little on CoD2 and oblivion but other than that not really. the 512vram helps a lot at that res.

Your X1800XT should be able to play COD2 at 1600*1200, if you use 2xAA and 8xAF.
Oblivion will have to be set at 1280*1024, though. Even the X1900XT series can't run Oblivion at 1600*1200. You might be able to play it at 1600*1200 if you turn off all the shadows, since in today's games, shadows take up alot of performance.

not to mention the fact the shadows look horrific in oblivion anyway. the 7600gt can run obliv at 16x12 with everything off, the x1800xt should have no prob with 2xaa and triple buffering or 4-8xaf. my 7900gt ran it fine at that res b4 i got a widescreen lcd. now i run it at 1440x900 2xaa 16xaf with an 40-50 avg fps. course my gt is clocked at 650/1950
