games saved to seperate partition

i started separating ordinary programs and system from my games so i wont lose my stuff if i get a virus or if i want to refresh my computer so is there an way to put my games back with out reinstalling or is backing up my registries a bad idea because i have gotten viruses that really messed with the codeing before.

There is no clean way to back up the registry entries created by installers (and updaters). All this method really accomplishes is ensuring that save games are on a separate partition from other things... except for the numerous games that put your save games in My Documents. It does also mean that, with a little finagling, you can avoid re-downloading Steam games.

tl;dr: This won't accomplish much, and if you are routinely getting viruses then you need to deal with that problem instead.

Get CCleaner. That program is pretty good about clearing out unwanted registry items, I also got a bunch of firefox plugins that block a lot of crap (makes websites look like shit but at least I am a bit more protected). I have 1SSD and 2 HDs, the SSDS is only for my OS and saved games that are saved on it, The other HDs are for apps and games respectively. Also, if you can afford it, use separate computer, like a laptop to surf the web and watch porn, that'll keep your main gaming PC as clean as possible 🙂
