games running slow

when i play hostile waters, then play UT2k4, ut2k4 runs very jerkily and crap. when i restart, it runs perfectly. same with doom 3. anything i can do so i don't have to restart every time i want to play a different game?

i've got catalyst 4.5 on the grfx card, with 4.8 it kept freezing whenever i booted it up, it froze once with the 4.5 drivers, but not anymore.

I assume this is the info you want about virtual memory:
System Properties
->Advanced Tab
->Performance Settings
->Advanced Tab
->Change button

Paging file size for selected drive
Drive: C:
Space available: 34819
Custom Size(selected)
Initial Size(MB) 768
Maximum Size(MB) 1536


Total paging file size for all drives
Minimum allowed: 2MB
Recommended: 766MB
Currently allocated: 768

I hope that's the info u need, i haven't got a clue about this particular subject

Have you tried letting Windows manage your virtual memory settings?
