game's problem on Windows XP pro!

I just got Windows XP pro and i install games Stunt GP, Quake III arena etc. and when i play Quake III it wont work why do you think? and when i Play STUNT GP it was suddenly become slow when im using ME it was fast, why do you think was the problem? Im using Geforce 2 Pro video Card... is there anyway that i can do for it? thanks
