games not running on dell inspiron 6400

hey i got my dell inspiron 6400/e1505 today and i installed battlefield 2 demo and it just doesnt run. i heard its something to do with my power settings but i dunno wat exactly. my laptop has the intel gma 950 card with 224 meg shared memory. i was wondering if any1 could help fix the problem thank you

shared memory? If that's all the memory you have to share between the video card and memory, you arent going to be running anything that fast. I'd add some memory and see what happens.
 
get a new graphics card. My rule of thumb is that if its onboard it sucks. So just pick up a 9600 or 9800 or something like that until you can buy a decent gaming rig.

Ya i didnt notice that. Thanks for correcting me. I guess i was distracted when reading his post.

Sorry about that nomad. I would suggest you buy a desktop or a gaming laptop if you wish to play BF2

U can't.. if its under the 21 days, return it.. u need dedicated video card.. that laptop is good for surfing web and doing homework

It's under BIOS setting.

But realistically, even if you allocate the max available, it shouldn't improve performance by that much (unless the default was rediculously low).
 
well i kno its not a gaming laptop but still its one of the best laptops for its price. and it just so happens that u cant battlefield 2 on it so wat thats why i got another computer to do the job
