Games My FlatPanel and Windowed Mode

I have some trouble having games fullscreen seeming washed out on my new Gateway FPD2185W LCD. However when I run them in native resolution 1650x1050 they make me horny.

My question is .... is this normal ? I mean battlefield 2 and San Andreas look super and play great in a window. But if I had to run them full screen I would have to take the monitor back. Does everyone find this ?

Your gamma value for the desktop is different than the one in-game. You can try adjusting brightness/gamma in the game settings.

So I take from your answer that LCDs color performance is not necassarily differant between resolutions.

Nope, different resolutions won't affect the colors at all.
