Games locked at 800x600 resolution

All the games that I play can't have their resolutions changed no matter what I changed in the menus. The 800x600 resolution is too big and causes dizziness in some games like Halo. I have a GeForce 4 MX card but I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem. What should I do?

I'n not sure, and I haven't personally played Halo on the PC, but I am 99.999% sure that Halo's resolution can be changed.

wow yo must play some crapy or old games. i havent had one locked at that res in years.

I want to say Halo's res can't be changed....Let me see what I can find.

N/m, its not. Maybe you need to get new drivers or something?

Halo's resolution can certainly be changed. Try, as NutBucket suggested, updating to the latest drivers.

...and to think i used to play CS at 640x480, ~10fps when i had my 366 celeron + 4mb onboard video...now all my games have to be at 1280x1024

Halo can be changed, but I play at 800x600 just to insure smoothness. 2500+ Barton w/ Ati 9600 Pro

I changed my resolutions but the picture size hasn't changed at all.
