Games I should look into for the summer?

Well, I've had one heck of a sophmore year in college.... new GF, lots of work, etc, and my computer gaming time has dropped to all time lows... yahoo euchre! I need some advice on some bargain bin games I can pick up cheap at B&M software outlets or cheap on the FS/FT forum

I've played these games in the past and liked them alot:

BF1942
Civilization series
Deus Ex
UT (I owned UT 2k3 but didn't like it as much and sold it)
Starcraft Broodwars
Diablo 2 (was ok... took a WHOLE LOTTA time)
Hidden and Dangerous (lesser known title IMO)
FIFA 2000 MLS
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (2 was better IMO)

Ok so I guess thats what comes to mind, I'll edit if I remember any more that I had played that were cool.

Now, help me out... I need to fill my time this summer!

I'm gonna replay the Fallout series this summer. Planescape Torment would be a good bargain bin one to look at also.

Fallout 2! I liked that game... forgot about it. I'll try and find the original fallout. Any other suggestions?

Sounds like you enjoy action/adventure/RPg stuff, so I'll recommend Arx Fatalis...should be fairly cheap by now.

damn ... ok ... then try these ...
1. Dungeon Siege (like Diablo)
2. Medal of Honor Allied Assault (great FPS)
3. Aliens vs Predator 2 (FPS that scares the crap out of you ... great for a LAN party)

the above games are older and hence should be available pretty cheap ..
I'd also try C&C Generals ... its new right now .... but depending on when you buy it ... you might get a good deal ...

I would second the MOH series both Allied Assault and the newer Spearhead.

Also, I hear Unreal2 - Awakening, though fairly new is hitting the bargain bins, has excellent graphics.

1. System Shock 2
2. Baldur's Gate 2 and throne of baal
3. Icewind Dale and heart of winter(+ trial of the luremaster)
4. Icewind Dale 2
5. Planescape Torment

pretty much it...... 2-5 are infinity engine games range from purely dungeon crawl(IWD and IWD2) to almost only npc interaction (PST) with BG in between. SS2 is a game verry simillar to deus ex, hell it's probably as good if not better.

neverwinter nights
morrowind and tribunal and by the time you finish you can get bloodmoon
max payne
baldurs gate 1&2 plus expansions
warcraft 3
return to castle wolfenstien
and the best of all thief 1&2

or pick up a cheep playstation or playstation emulator and get a whole bunch of cool rpg's
chronocross
all final fantasy's includeing tactics
