Games (Half-Life) uses G200 instead of Voodoo2, please help!

My games, like Half-Life, are using my G200 for OpenGL and Direct3d instead of my Voodoo2. I have the newest drivers installed for both the G200 and Voodoo2. If I put the OpenGL on default for 640x480, it'll run the game with the G200 (I can tell cause it's slower and less stable). When I try to run the 3dfx MiniGL driver, it says this video mode is not supported by my video card. I even tried downloading Wicked3d drivers and the old MiniGL driver. Could someone please help? Thanks.

aw rats...there is a specific fix for this. The latest patch for Half Life screws up a file and looks in the wrong place for it. You gotta move it. It's posted in another thread here, look around, I can't flippin' remember (d'oh!)

I figured it out. You have to edit that text file in the gldrv directory to read gldrv/3dfxgl.dll instead of just 3dfxgl.dll. I cant believe they didnt fix that, what a headache.

YES! That's it. half life looks in the wrong directory

you can edit the text file or copy the file into the directory 1/2 Life is looking in.

It apparently cropped up with the recent patch for whatever reason.
