Games for windows live HELP

Hello, so I have been struggling with the abomination that is called GFWL for days now. As soon as I go to launch it it tells me that it has a connection error. I got the latest client here:

I have .net framework 4.0 installed, and have tried EVERY fix I could find on the internet. I have reinstalled it about 6 times, re-imaged my machine twice, restarted router etc..

I dont think it is a port error because it worked fine before and nothing has changed. Is it possible that the service is just temporarily down in my area? I live in NH.

Does anyone have any insight for me?

I saw a thread over at NeoGAF where people started having problems with GFWL today, lots of different errors. I'd check there.
 
It is not just you it is not working for me either. It is only affecting the marketplace side for me. Basically meaning I cannot download any of my games or dlc purchased on there.
