I have my media center PC (HTPC) set up with my TV (no monitor otherwise).
What are some good games that
  • can be played with gamepads?
  • that can be played by two people via split screen?
  • can be played on a TV from like 10ft away? (e.g. no small text reading required)
 
Yes - have emulators.

Any other (newer) PC Games?

GTA is a great single player game, as well as HL, the early Lara Croft games, etc.
Any split screen games like that?
